Easy Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies
This recipe only calls for a few ingredients and if you’re looking for a classic holiday favorite dessert, this is it!
- ¼ cup softened unsalted butter
- ¼ cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white granulated sugar + ¼ cup for coating
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 16 Hershey Kiss chocolates

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a large baking sheet, and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl combine softened butter and peanut butter. Mix with a hand or stand mixer until light and fluffy.

Add in both sugars and mix until well combined.
Add in egg and vanilla and stir until just combined.
Mix flour, salt, and baking soda and add to the wet mixture and mix until a dough forms.
**Note: If the dough is sticky to the touch or hard to roll into a ball, refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow it to firm up.

Take about 1 tbsp of dough and roll it into balls, and dip it in sugar to coat.
Place about 2 inches away from each other on the prepared baking sheet. Continue with all the dough.
Hershey Kiss Cookies

Bake for 8-9 minutes, and then remove and press one Hershey Kiss chocolate in the center of each cookie.

Place back into the oven for 2 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
Allow them to cool and enjoy!

**Additional notes: You can use the prepackaged peanut butter cookie mix and just have them prepare it via the package instructions and just add the candy on top for an easier option.

This is a keeper! Like how I remembered my mom used to make them. I made one batch and then doubled the recipe for round 2. I liked that the recipe was easy to increase (mathematically speaking). The recipe reads as incomplete until you read the notes and realize the rest of the instructions are listed there. Thank you for this it was exactly what I was looking for, brought back so many memories for my family!
