Princess Tiana Cupcakes

Easy to make Disney Princess Tiana Cupcakes
Servings 12 cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 Vanilla Box Cake Mix or your favorite vanilla cupcake recipe
  • 1 can of your favorite vanilla frosting
  • 1 cups marshmallow fondant or white modeling chocolate
  • Neon green GEL food coloring
  • Green GEL food coloring
  • White yellow and green pearl sprinkles (found at my local grocer)
  • 24 candy eyeballs
  • Wax paper just to set your marshmallow fondant on
  • Star decorating tip and bag

Instructions

  • Make Vanilla boxed cake mix per instructions on the box
  • Cool cupcakes completely before decorating.
  • Work 15-20 drops of green GEL food coloring into marshmallow fondant.
  • Break green marshmallow fondant into 13 small pieces. Set one piece aside for use on the warts.
  • Form each of the 12 pieces into a ball, then flatten sides to make a sort of square with rounded corners.
  • Push one of the corners of your square into the other, forming a lopsided triangle.
  • Round-over the frog’s bottom a little and your body is complete.
  • On this side where you have made the lopsided triangle, bend that portion down and curve it over to form a face.
  • With your fingernail or a butter knife, make depressions on each side to resemble legs and feet.
  • Repeat the use of your fingernail and butter knife to make a depression in each lower face for a smile.
  • Press 2 candy eyeballs on the upper side of each side of the frog’s head.
  • Work an additional 5-10 drops of green food coloring into the remaining 13th piece of marshmallow fondant.
  • Break off tiny bits and roll into balls, then place 2-3 onto the back of each frog and pat flat.
  • Place frogs into the refrigerator until you’re ready for them.
  • With your largest decorating tip, press into the top of the cupcake off-center, creating a well. Save hole tops.
  • Place 1 tablespoon of the mixed-color sprinkle pearls inside the well in the cupcake.
  • Replace the hole top on each cupcake.
  • Divide ¼ of the frosting into a separate bowl.
  • Mix 4-5 drops of neon green food coloring into this small portion of your vanilla frosting, stirring until the color is consistent.
  • With the remaining frosting, mix 5-10 drops of green food coloring, stirring until the color is consistent.
  • Place star tip in a piping bag.
  • Smear the neon green frosting around all edges of the piping bag.
  • Fill the piping bag with the green frosting.
  • Frost each cupcake in a swirl, turning the piping bag as you pipe.
  • Place a frog on the side of each cupcake.
  • Enjoy!
